All of our instructors are certified in their respective subjects and bring years of industry experience to the classroom. Their real-world experience allows them to provide relevant and specific examples to help their students relate to the course material and retain more information. Our certified instructors are present to provide ongoing coaching, support and guidance throughout your training.
Gene McKelvey: Technical Instructor

Gene was raised around computers and first began programming on a TRS -80. He really got into working with computers in 1999 when he received an MCP on NT 4.0 workstation. Gene has trained Microsoft's own Technical support staff on 9x and NT platforms. He has been a trainer for over 7 years and has taken on new Technologies of Server 2008, SharePoint and the new Mom and SMS, SCCM and SCOM. Gene also has been instrumental in training the staff in FT Huachuca for SharePoint, as they learn from Gene, they deploy this technology worldwide. Gene keeps class lively and interesting, making learning more of an activity and less of a chore.
Michael Madore: Technical Instructor
MCT, MCSE, MCSD, Visual Studio 2005/2008.
Since 1999 Michael has been called on by New Horizons when a senior level developer has been needed for expert level instruction and/or consulting. Michael developed curriculum and trained dozens of developers at Raytheon in designing and developing Win32 DLL's to run within the .Net framework. Michael also has recently taught Visual Basic 2008 to a group of developers working for the Department of Defense. No training manuals or books were available, so Michael customized 2005 material, created labs and taught this information over a 2 week period. Michael has provided consulting and training for many large companies such as; Nortel, General Dynamics, L3 Communications, RainBird, LTD Direct marketing, and the Canadian Government.
Stacey Mcbrine: Technical Instructor
MCT, MCSE, CCNA, CEH, CHFI, CISSP, ITIL, Security +, A+, Network+, MCITP Exchange Server 2007
Stacey has been actively designing, implementing, and supporting various network operations since 1985. He has held various Microsoft certifications since 1997 and was one of the first 2000 people to achieve an MCSE certification. Stacey has authored 2 books, Configuring, Installing, and Administering Windows XP Professional and Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Server 2003 Network Infrastructure. Stacey is very versed in Cisco and Security implementations, training, and procedures. He is one of only 150 Certified CISSP instructors in the United States.
Alison Rico: Applications Instructor
Microsoft Office Master Instructor 2003, Application Specialist Office 2007, Adobe CS3
Alison is in her second term at New Horizons of Tucson. She took a hiatus to go back home to Hawaii, but forgot how great Tucson was. Almost all of Alison's students request Alison for their other classes. She is extremely versed in the Microsoft office applications, especially Access, where she has built many databases. When Alison is not busy dazzling our students with her knowledge she can be found out with her husband and friends, or heading back to Hawaii.
Christopher Davis: Applications Instructor

Chris has brought a great attention to detail here at New Horizons. Chris complements our training staff as he is always ready to find the next hurdle to leap when new material comes out. Recently Chris has been spending time in many small towns in Arizona teaching applications to our customers. It is an eye opening experience for a guy from England. In his off time Chris is a travel agent and spends as much time as he can abroad.
